https://www.theboldmom.com"The Scarlett Curse" by Toneye Eyenot is the opening novella of the horror series "The Sacred Blade of Profanity".
A blade possessing its host is the central figure of the plot. Scarlett, the bearer, remains under its control, being demanded to bring victims to tear up. Her way is turned off when she collides with little Dera, who will transform the events... and her destiny.
At the same time, a threatened Joshua runs his own race to find what he's been ordered, crossing his dark way and obsession with Scarlett and our fragile Dera.
This book is, simply, great. Quick, fresh, free of endless descriptions and beautifully dark. Scenes are agile and changing. Once you grab it, you won't leave it. Believe me.
Eyenot's writing is very pleasurable. Sweet to read, like a whisper. He pours the horror on your hands when you don't even notice it. I really, deeply, honestly loved this little book.
When you get to the end, you better already have the second one, "Joshua's Folly", because you will need more (I do). Reading this book it's been a pleasure, and I just wish I had it in paperback because I would keep it close, together with my favorite books. Thank you and congratulations!
