Director Brian Metcalf

Brian attended The Joe Kubert School of Art and The Gnomon School of Visual Effects. He worked as a traditional artist, storyboard artist, photographer and digital effects artist.

He was soon hired by Sony Pictures Entertainment and later left to work on numerous film, DVD and television projects. He worked as a visual effects artist on film and multimedia projects for titles such as The Passion of the Christ, The Cat in the Hat, The Haunted Mansion, The Lion King Virtual Tours for Disney, LADJ and  History Channel’s Egyptian Book of the Dead. He then became the VP/Creative Director for B1 Media, that developed high-end DVD/Game/Trailer projects for major studios.

Brian wrote and directed the award-winning short, Sorrows Lost which led to him direct and produce 24 The DVD Board Game, multiple music videos for bands such as Helmet and Egostatic.

Brian’s most recent project is the visual effects intensive feature film, Fading of the Cries starring Academy Award Nominee Brad Dourif (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Lord of the Rings), Thomas Ian Nicholas (American Pie Films), Elaine Hendrix (The Parent Trap) and Mackenzie Rosman (7th Heaven). Brian is continuing to work on film, music videos, television, documentaries and game projects.
